This September at The Art School, we turn five! It’s also the year that Wirral has been crowned the Borough of Culture by Liverpool City Region, which ties in perfectly with our fifth birthday celebrations. Join us for a special VIP dinner on Saturday 7th or Sunday 8th September, featuring concerts by Merseyside’s musical talents.
Wirral Food & Drink Festival
7th & 8th September
Each day, Wirral Food & Drink Festival will see some of the region’s finest producers and chefs come together for a free exhibition of what the Wirral has to offer. With cooking demonstrations in the VIP Tipi each day from Ellis Barrie, Tommy Heany and our very own Paul Askew.
“I am absolutely delighted to be playing a part in Wirral Food & Drink Festival which will be a special showcase of what we have to offer from field to fork. I want us to shout about our wonderful food and drink culture, our reputation for quality produce and our fantastic natural assets during this free festival. Come and join us at Birkenhead Park on 7 & 8 September” – Chef Paul Askew
by The Art School
With the festival site open from 11am both days, look out for the tipis where we will be hosting the Chef Demos each afternoon.
Come night-time, this space will evolve into an exclusive ‘Festival VIP’ dining area with clothed tables, private bar, and a viewing area to catch the action on stage – with showstopping performances by Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and Merseyside legends Lightning Seeds, The Christians & China Crisis.
